Aim

Plenty of people with absolutely no legal experience are having a go at DIY conveyancing and saving themselves hundreds of pounds.

Traditionally, conveyancing has been the domain of solicitors. Recent legal changes (1,2) allow anyone with a suitable qualification to take on conveyancing work. In theory, conveyancing has become much more accessable. However many people are still unsure of the details and legal requirements.
The purpose of this site is to remove the mystery that surrounds conveyancing and equip the visitor with the knowledge and tools to decide how they want to go about the conveyancing process.

You could do a job which is quicker than a professional conveyancer, cheaper, and added to that – you keep control over the process.

Contrast the urgency with which you will no doubt handle the tasks that need to be completed with that of the conveyancer. You will always treat yourself as your most important case, as it were, and you should be able to rely on yourself to swiftly respond to letters from the other solicitor and get the appropriate forms sent to the right places at the right times.

That's not to say that everyone should rush out and do their own conveyancing. Our website takes away the mystery shrouding conveyancing so that whether you do it yourself, or engage a solicitor or conveyancer, you will end up with more control and understanding and a better result.
